About The Hatchling

Welcome to my corner of the internet, where I hope to log useless information in hopes that somebody else potentially finds it interesting. I'm Hatchling: Fanfiction writer and Metroid enthusiast. I'm a 30-something who remembers a lot of these kinds of websites from way back when, and thought I'd finally take a crack at it myself. There's not much here at the moment, but as my motivation to work on this ebbs and slows, I'm hoping to expand the features a little. Other than messing about on the interwebs, I like to cook, crochet, garden, swim, play video games, and binge the occasional cartoon.

Shit I'm hoping to (eventually) do with this website:

Create shrines dedicated to my favorite things.
Set up a link directory for all the various pages I find interesting, among other things.
Create a manifesto page about archiving things related to fandom, history, and media.
Create a lengthy page about all my music recommendations and maybe a live radio function.
Create a series of pages dedicated to reposting all my fanfiction for archival purposes. (Done!)
Create a page dedicated to all the fanart I've gotten for my fics!
Create a page dedicated to my cats.
Create a guestbook for folks to sign. (Done!)
Revamp the layout. (Done((again))!)

That's more or less all I can think of right now off the top of my head; this list is subject to change as I continue experimenting with Codepen. Only time will tell if I have the mental capacity AND the knowhow to make all this possible eventually. Thanks for dropping by anyway!
