ULTRAKILL

The boomer-shooter game with writing that reached through my monitor screen and throttled me. It goes without saying that everything here was written prior to the game's full release. All of this is very likely to be dated wrt whatever happens at the end of the game, with really only speculation or porn logic into play here.

But I don't really give a shit about that. I don't think I'd have thrown myself back into writing for passion without having played this game and come to love it's characters, themes, and the mysterious world surrounding it. I owe it my creative recovery after a period of turbulance in my life, so no matter how it's crazy story comes to a close, I'll always be grateful for getting the chance to play with it's setting.

Though I'll be the first to admit that whether I'll continue writing for it or not, once the full game releases, is currently up in the air. Maybe it'll just come to a neat little close with the deaths of all it's characters; maybe the spirit of humanity will ultimately triumph over Divinity and Damnation and the end of all things. But even in the event of a Downer Ending, I've written my fix-it fic and don't really feel like committing to another, so I'm just gonna ride this wave as far as I can.
